A streak of light going through everything

Artist Statement

In installations, performances and handmade books expressions are brought together in interplay circling within poetic forms.
Material is mainly pigmented sand in floor installation, glued to glass as well as photographed and used in handmade books. Sand is the constant wanderer shredded and accumulated.

Most exhibitions take the form of installation. In these objects and ink works may be included. I also regard the books as installations.
Performances are often attached to the sand installations. Actions done during exhibition time changes sand form and expression.

The process is open to impulses from various times and fields. As well the missing´s and the rerememberances´ stratas make their space. The process demands an exploring work to be relevant.
Want to have something to follow; offering winding ways, down and backwards in times beyond the forms of space, that enables a collective tone.

Expression I want to arrive at links the primeval and the missing. The human body links the earth and sky airiness.

I explore how materials may get a form that´s genuine and simple in its poetic expression.

Having a Ph D in art teaching, and an exam as drama teacher, studies in social anthropology at the university and courses in general language skills; these experiences have contributed to a deep curiosity concerning human ideas of thought and belief systems, globally.
Perhaps consistently I wish to work in longer projects with others in art or other disciplines that will further add complexity to my work.
